CLARIFYING THE ECONOMIC VALUATION OF NON-MARKET CAPITAL
HOLOS CUSTODIAN COMMITTEE
Intellectually, non-market based valuations are being used in commercial and policy focused processes for: reporting, appraisals and analysis of Capital. Because there is currently no alternative, these values are being denominated in exchangeable currencies (e.g. the Dollar) though these components are fundamentally not exchangeable. The distinction between market and non-market based monetary values is not transparent and leads to confusion about the exchangeability of these values by the users of the reports, appraisals and analysis, impacting their faithful representation. Non-market based monetary values are becoming increasing material to these processes.
The Holos Custodian Committee (HCC) has been formed to regulate the Holos as a non-exchangeable unit of account (Functional Currency), specifically designed for the denomination of non-market monetary values. The introduction of the Holos denomination will enable the introduction of a variety of Market to Non-Market ratios (Holos ratios) to any taxonomy used for reporting, appraisal or analysis of Capital(s)*.
A key consequence of the non-exchangeable nature of the Holos is that its value can be fixed in relation to a basket of the main exchangeable currencies (Specifically the SDR of the IMF) so that market and non-market monetary values can be converted and can be reported in a single currency.
The Holos, as a non-exchangeable unit of account, is manifest as a cryptocurrency denominated in the Holos (HOL), with total token supply of 100,000,000,000,000. No tokens are issued and therefore cannot be exchanged and the keys are held in physical wallets secured by a Primary Custodian Partner

*Many Capital taxonomies e.g. Financial, Produced, Social, Natural now include monetary valuations. By far the most advanced is Financial an example being the outputs of the IFRS.
Note: By their nature Financial Capital taxonomies are predominantly market-based, for example, mechanisms for deriving Current Value (Conceptual Framework for Financial Reporting, IASB, 2018)
